Excavator operations are pivotal to many construction and excavation projects, with the equipment’s scope of motion and precision being essential for efficient work. 180° to 360° excavator training provides operators with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience, ensuring they can maneuver these powerful machines with precision and safety. This training not only covers the fundamentals of machine operation but also delves into the complexities of full-circle rotation tasks, hazard recognition, and safety protocols. As the construction industry continues to grow and evolve, the demand for skilled operators with this specialized training remains high, emphasising the importance of this rigorous and essential training program.
This course consists of an instructor led training room presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.
- Introduction to the machine
- Control familiarisation- Pre-start checks & basic maintenance procedures
- Basic driving procedures & Use of hydraulic controls.
- End of shift procedures
- Road & site travelling procedures
- Excavating & digging procedures
- Trenching procedures
- Backfilling procedures
- Site levelling & ground consolidation procedures
- Theory test
- Practical Test
On successful completion, the participant will be able to:
- Be aware of the Statutory requirements
- Successfully operate the machine within a safe system of work
- Knowledgeable in site safety awareness
- Knowledgeable in the operator’s safety code
- Be aware of road & site travelling procedures
Novice Courses: Ideal for a total beginner using their first forklift truck, and has no previous experience of Materials Handling Equipment.
Experienced Courses: For a forklift truck operator who has an extensive amount of experience; at least 12 months, however holds no current certification and has had no formal training.
Refresher Courses: Suited for the operators who are trained and certified, the refresher course allows them to take a test to renew their licence. Forklift certifications are valid for 3 years.
Conversion Course: Suited for operators who are trained and certified on certain forklifts. The conversion course allows them to expand their forklift licences on other types of trucks.
Our courses take place at our fully equipped training centre in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
We have a great location for those travelling on the M4/M3/M5 and the centre is also close to Heathrow.
