We can train your own instructor to deliver in-house training (train the trainer) to your employees. The qualification is non-transferable and is held by the employing company. The in-house instructor courses are ideal where companies seek to have their own instructor to deliver their training requirements, for cost saving measures, operational requirements or tailored training packages are required.
The standards we apply are the same as those laid down by the accrediting bodies.
Our In-house instructor courses can be conducted on-site or at our training centre near Heathrow.
The in-house forklift instructor course is designed to take the prospective instructor through as many of the basic operator training exercises as possible, as well as the process of conducting the practical test of basic operating ability.
By the end of this course the in-house instructor should be able to deliver basic, experienced operator or refresher forklift training in-house.
The course covers the following elements:
- Relevant regulations and associated Codes of Practice
- Instructional Techniques
- Principles of Instruction
- Lesson Preparation and Delivery ((Practical and Theoretical Lessons)
- Fault Finding and Remedy
- Conducting and Administering the Practical Skills Test
- Report Writing and Record Keeping
Novice Courses: Ideal for a total beginner using their first forklift truck, and has no previous experience of Materials Handling Equipment.
Experienced Courses: For a forklift truck operator who has an extensive amount of experience; at least 12 months, however holds no current certification and has had no formal training.
Refresher Courses: Suited for the operators who are trained and certified, the refresher course allows them to take a test to renew their licence. Forklift certifications are valid for 3 years.
Conversion Course: Suited for operators who are trained and certified on certain forklifts. The conversion course allows them to expand their forklift licences on other types of trucks.
Our courses take place at our fully equipped training centre in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
We have a great location for those travelling on the M4/M3/M5 and the centre is also close to Heathrow.

On completion of this forklift training, drivers are fully certified to operate this category of truck. The qualification is nationally recognised and accepted throughout the industry.
