IPAF Harness Awareness, User and Inspection Course
This IPAF harness use and inspection course covers all aspects of the awareness (HA) use (HU) and inspection (HI) of harnesses in working at height applications, it will enable delegates to use and inspect harnesses correctly. If a delegate has an IPAF licence, this qualification can be added to this.

The IPAF Harness Awareness, User, and Inspection (HA/HU/HI) Course is designed to equip operators, supervisors, and safety professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for the safe use, inspection, and maintenance of safety harnesses when working at height.
This course is accredited by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and ensures compliance with industry regulations for working safely with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and other elevated work environments.

Harness User Practical
- Pre-use check of a harness and lanyard
- Fitting and adjustment of a harness and lanyard for use in a MEWP
- Attaching to the correct anchor point in a MEWP and adjustment of the lanyard to provide effective restraint

- Types of Detailed Inspections
- Longevity and Obsolescence
- Common Types of Damage and Criteria for Failure

- Demonstration and group discussion to include associated documentation

Our courses take place at our fully equipped training centre in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
We have a great location for those travelling on the M4/M3/M5 and the centre is also close to Heathrow.
IPAF ePAL
- The IPAF Digital PAL Card Licence Application (ePAL) is a mandatory item when making a booking, charged at £29.50 per delegate.
- IPAF Physical PAL Card Licence Application (Printed PAL Card) – If required add the item “ Printed PAL Card and Certificate “ to your basket – additional cost £7.50
