This Safeguarding Children Level 2 online course provides an in-depth understanding of how to keep the children in your care safe. This online training uses expert guidance and content from legitimate authorities such as NSPCC and UK Government.

Course Duration: Approx 90 mins

We all have a responsibility to keep children safe from harm, abuse, neglect, bad treatment or exploitation. The NSPCC defines safeguarding children as “the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.”

This level 2 online course outlines the key legislation governing safeguarding children in the UK, who is responsible, types of abuse and how to recognise them, how to report abuse and keep records.

By the end of the course learners will be aware of the key legislation which governs safeguarding children in the UK and who is responsible. This includes the Children Acts of 1989 and 2004, the children and young persons act 2008, Children and Social Work act 2017 and various education acts.

It can be difficult to spot signs the signs of child abuse, therefore delegates also learn about the different forms of abuse and how to recognise the signs. The course will also provide instruction on how to correctly report any disclosures or suspicions and the importance of record keeping.
