RIDDOR regulations 2013 is a health and safety legislation that requires people in charge of the workplace, such as employers, line managers and even general employees, to report and keep written records of minor and major injuries, work related illness or diseases and any occurrences that may pose a threat to any present in the workplace.
The aim of RIDDOR regulations is to enable the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and local authorities to track accidents at work, report patterns, determine how risks occur, manage workplace hazards and investigate serious accidents, so that they can be avoided in the future. In order to comply with the regulations, first you must know what should and should not be reported.
This certified online course aims to give a good understanding of the RIDDOR guidelines, it’s legislation and what is appropriate to report. It is broken into two modules, detailing the principles of RIDDOR and the process of recording accidents, how to report and accident, amend a report and more. The course also offers live links that you can access should you ever need to make a report under RIDDOR.

This course is suitable for any employer or employee who is the responsible person for overseeing a work premises and for making a report under RIDDOR. The responsible person must have a thorough understanding of the process and of the relevant regulations and legislations.
The aim of this course is to provide learners with an overall understanding of what RIDDOR is, which incidents should be reported and why it is important to report them. Learners will look at how to submit incident reports, as well as some key facts concerning health and safety in the UK.
