This comprehensive online course was created in line with current UK Food Hygiene and Safety requirements and is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality and certified by CPD to guarantee the delivery of high quality content and learning materials.

By law, all food handlers are required to have a good understanding of the basic principles food safety and hygiene practices. This course builds upon the foundational knowledge of Level 1 Food Safety and Hygiene, but goes into further detail regarding food preparation, safe handling procedures and food safety enforcements. Those taking the course will be taught how to recognise and mitigate pest infestations, learn about HACCP food management system, microbiological hazards, food premises and food storage, cooking and chilling. In-course modules also cover the role that personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection have in adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. This online training course is tailored in particular to those who directly and frequently handle, prepare and serve food as part of their job role, and it helps them to comply with current UK food safety and hygiene legal requirements.

On successful completion of this course, learners will be awarded with a same-day certificate proving that they understand how to correctly handle food in the workplace.

You will have unlimited attempts to retake the assessment and achieve a 100% pass rate, at no extra cost. Answers are marked automatically, so you will instantly know if you have passed, or whether you have to re-take the test before you can access your certificate.
