This online HACCP Level 2 course is aimed at food handlers who directly prepare and handle food in food establishments and businesses. This course is certified by the CPD and endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality (IoH) and provides the necessary training for all appropriate employees in the food industry.

HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points and is an internationally recognised standard for food management. 

In every food business there are potential hazards which could lead to food contamination and food poisoning in consumers. A food management system is a way for food business owners to analyse all the potential hazards, decide how to control them, agree what actions they will take when different hazards present themselves and keep records to stay compliant.

Food safety management systems became mandatory from 1st January 2006, when the European Union introduced regulations on the hygiene of foodstuffs. Since the UK left the EU, HACCP still remains a worldwide recognised system, it is therefore essential that British businesses continue to train staff to these standards.

 In this course you will learn what needs to be included in your food management plan and by the end of the course you will have a good appreciation of why a food management plan is so vital for your business.

Answers are marked automatically, so you will instantly know if you have passed, or whether you have to re-take the test before you can access your certificate.
