Course Duration: Approx 35 minutes
This certified online course aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to confidently deliver immediate first aid care to infants of children, and possibly save lives. Throughout the course you will learn how to provide effective initial first aid to anyone under the age of 16. This includes performing first aid on babies or children that differ from the practices used on adults.
Knowing how to recognise signs and symptoms in children, correctly assist casualties, treat their condition and getting help are all skills that can help save lives. This course will help learners recognise potential medical emergencies, while taking the appropriate actions when administering first aid on a young child (over 12 months) or an infant (up to 12 months.)
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, sports coach, nanny or child minder, this course will give you the peace of mind and confidence to enjoy caring for children responsibly.
Please note that this e-learning is an awareness course that provides learners with theoretical knowledge of emergency first aid practices; it does not, however, replace competency-based, practical training, nor qualify you as a first aider. If you are looking to qualify as a first aider, please visit our first aid practical training page. Always seek medical advice in case of emergency.
