This COSHH online training course will provide the knowledge needed to understand the risks and dangers associated with exposure to hazardous substances. You will learn your responsibilities in reducing incidents and preventing illnesses that can be contracted due to hazardous exposure in the workplace.

Course Duration: 90 minutes

The regulations of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002 are referred to as COSHH. Under this law, employers are required to control all substances that are harmful to health in the workplace (including nano-materials.)

Employees, contractors and other people can be affected by hazardous substances present in the workplace. Substances, or products that are a mix of substances harmful to health, are found in most places of work and can be created through many different types of work processes.

Some substances can be easy to spot, while others may be harder to identify as being hazardous. This training material is broken into 6 modules and details the regulations that govern the laws of COSHH, risk assessments, employer and employee responsibilities, personal protective equipment, the most common health hazards, occupations most of risk, how to identify hazardous substances, safety procedures and control measures and how to record and monitor your findings.

This certified course meets the current training and requirements of the relevant legislation and regulations of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002.
